It's 1972 and America's favorite television family celebrates Christmas with their traditional gathering of family and friends. Beautiful holiday music, fun and laughter bring back memories of special times and provide a magical experience for all.

Step back in time as a member of the live studio audience with all the behind the scenes fun of the world of 1970's television production. It's life as usual for Jim and Libby Collins as they guide their loving family. Their young son is away at war, but all the others have gathered for the occasion. One daughter leads the way with her popular singer husband and five rambunctious children. Another daughter is about to give birth to her first child. Also joining the fun are Jim's sisters, one has her sights on landing the hottest star in Hollywood as a husband. Making a grand entrance,
as always, is Libby's legendary eccentric sister. She has just ended a scandalous relationship with the same popular entertainer who just happens to be Jim's best friend and a special guest on the program. They also welcome Libby's best friend, a hilarious popular TV chef, for a side-splitting escapade with Christmas cookies.

The blend of backstage chaos, nostalgic television charm and cherished holiday tunes makes for a delightful evening of entertainment.
